Today we sailed along the Main in the morning, then were in Wetheim, Germany in the afternoon.
Today was a "village day". We had a nice walk through the city, and then through a forest (kinda like being in the movie Defiance with Daniel Craig) . Then we had a wine tasting with 4 different Franconian wines (yum), a pretzel making demonstration and tasting, (yum) then onto the last day of Octoberfest in Germany and a nice liter of beir (yum). And all that happened before dinner. After dinner a group from the city came to perform.
Yes, we both had too much to eat and drink today! But the good thing is we both had about 14,000 steps on our fitbits.
The Chargers game is about to start (10:00pm our time) so the pictures will be posted tomorrow morning! (while you are sleeping after you watch the Chargers! )
The Main River
Going through one of the 58 locks we will pass through on this trip
Our bicycle enthusiasts rode part of the trip this day
This castle has stood abandoned over looking the city for several hundred years
We took a hike through a Bavarian vineyard overlooking the town
Representing the Chargers in Bavaria
The baker was great fun
The wines we tasted. Cath collected the bottles that she drank.
After wine, Cath was flirting with the baker.
Then of course, we needed to have more alcohol, so we switched to beer. This is their final BierGarten of the Oktoberfest season.
You must have an Oompah band (no idea of the correct spelling)
Okay, I did help her drink one of these...
We got to watch fireworks from the deck that night.
